Norman Patrick Nexen

Norman’s presentation included statistics for Nexen on Dropped Objects occurring between 2015-2017.  There was an increase in incidents Q3 2017 and a Dropped Object Prevention initiative was created. TRAC assisted Nexen and during a hazard/incident sweep, a huge number of items were recovered and highlighted, the presentation shows pictures of the items recovered. A Nexen standard was created with High Level Requirements that included a survey every 3 years, removal of unnecessary equipment at height, tools at height process and a system implemented to record potential dropped objects.  Workforce Engagement workshops were carried out over 3 assets and comments and suggestions are being worked through to enhance their initiative.
