Step Change in Safety, Human Factors Toolkit

An overview of the Step Change Human Factors toolkit that has been developed to help the build on The First Steps to Human Factors. This allows users to identify the opportunities for improvement within their own working environments and organisations. Findings from three major incidents were shared and discussed, with particular reference to human behavioural safety issues. Step Change has developed the Human Factors Toolkit, which was launched in June 2014 to help companies gauge their relationship between human action and safety performance. Available via their website, the online questionnaire is a health check for individuals, teams, worksites and organisations, which has been specifically designed to prompt discussions and lead to better practices and policies.
